How to Create Geo-Targeted Residential Proxy Lists
By IPronix · Updated
Residential proxies on IPronix are billed by traffic rather than per IP. You buy a package, then create targeted endpoint lists (within the limits below). Each line of a list is a ready-to-use host:port:username:password endpoint on your own proxy account.
1. Buy a traffic package
Top up your wallet by card and choose a package from 1 GB to 1,000 GB (9 sizes, from $1.65 per GB). The price is debited from your wallet. Packages are not auto-renewed; buy more traffic any time.
2. Create a list
Open Residential in the dashboard and fill in:
- Title (optional), to tell your lists apart.
- Country: one of 42 supported countries, or any country.
- Region and city: optional free-text targeting. Leave them empty for the whole country.
- Rotation: Rotating (new IP every request), Sticky (keep the same IP for up to 120 minutes) or timed (a new IP every 1, 5, 10, 30, or 60 minutes).
- Endpoints: how many lines the list has, from 1 to 500. With a sticky or timed rotation each line keeps its own IP.
3. Connect
Copy a line or download the list as a text file. Lines use the HTTP port; for SOCKS5 use the gateway's SOCKS5 port, shown in the dashboard, with the same username and password.
curl -x http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT https://api.ipify.org?format=jsonChoosing a rotation
- Rotating (new IP every request): broad scraping where each request can come from a different address.
- Sticky (up to 120 minutes): multi-step flows that must keep one IP, such as paging through results.
- Timed (1 to 60 minutes): a middle ground that keeps an IP for a session, then changes it.
Limits
You can have up to 20 lists and up to 500 endpoints per list. All lists draw on your purchased traffic; when it runs out, buy more. Delete lists you no longer need from the same page.
