How Proxy Renewals and Auto-Renew Work
By IPronix · Updated
Static ISP proxies are rented for a period (1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months). At the end of the period they stop working unless the order is renewed. Residential, mobile and datacenter traffic packages work differently: they are never renewed automatically, and you buy more traffic whenever you need it.
Auto-renew is on by default
Every new static ISP order starts with auto-renew switched on. You can switch it off or on again per order from My Proxies or the order page.
When and how the renewal runs
- A scheduled job runs every hour and renews orders with auto-renew on that expire within the next 24 hours.
- Auto-renew extends the order by its rental length (a 3-month order renews for 3 months) and keeps the same IPs. It is paid from your wallet balance; saved cards are not charged automatically.
- The renewal price is calculated when the renewal runs, and you get an invoice for it.
- The new period is added to the current expiry date, so renewing early never shortens your rental.
If your wallet balance is too low
The renewal is skipped and you get a notification in the dashboard. Auto-renew stays on and the renewal is retried on the next hourly run, so topping up before the expiry date is enough. If the order expires without a renewal, its proxies stop working.
Renewing manually
Use Renew on the order to renew it yourself before it expires. Pick any rental length (1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months); the order keeps the same IPs, you see the price before confirming, and it is paid from your wallet.
Turning auto-renew off
Switch auto-renew off on the order if you no longer need the proxies. Orders without auto-renew show an expiring-soon notice in the dashboard a few days before they end, so you can still renew manually.
